Lorna's Fund

Early last year, our dear friend Lorna was diagnosed with cervical cancer, and after a hysterectomy, she was given the all clear. After a few months, at a routine check-up, some complications arose, and she was sent for a PET scan, where it was discovered that her cancer had returned, and metastasised. Now, she has an aggressive tumour covering the whole of her pelvis, and the cancer has even reached her lungs.

Even with chemotherapy, she has been told that she only has a year left.

There are trials and treatments that could be the miracle that Lorna needs right now, but unfortunately, they are not all available on the NHS, and herself and her family don’t have the funds to pay for them.

We are fundraising so that Lorna will be able to afford these treatments, to give her the best shot at fighting her cancer, and so that she will be able to live comfortably, and make happy memories with her husband, and two sons.
