Dear family and friends,
We are setting up this gofundme account for our Mom/Grandma, Lori. As many of you know she has had her fair share of hospital stays over the last few years which in turn has turned into disabilities and unable to work or be able to really be there for her family like she has her whole life. She hasn't been able to work and now has first hand knowledge of how much Medicare does NOT cover. Out of all the hurdles she has gone through and has suffered from, she has another one that she's been battling. She's been rapidly losing her eyesight because of cataracts. There is surgery that can help get her back to the way she used to be and better, but requires $450 worth of eye drops that Medicare does not cover and that is for each eye. Then the lenses they have to insert into her eyes are $1300.00 per eye. Along with these new charges, she still has $2000.00 in unpaid medical bills from her other most recent hurdle which was back surgery. Our first goal is to collect $1700 per eye. If we succeed in that $3400.00 our second goal is to collect enough for $2000 in past medical expenses. Please consider helping her out.
