Lori Koch's Fight Against Cancer

Earlier this year, our mom dealt with lung cancer. After surgeries and a collapsed lung,  we feared the cancer had spread to other areas. On July 21st, she had a liver biopsy. Shortly after, the oncologist confirmed stage 4 liver cancer. It is called metastatic large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma.

Surgery is not recommended because this is a fast spreading tumor and it goes through the bloodstream. My mom will have a medport put in on August 8th, and chemotherapy will begin. She will have 4 total sessions of chemo. Each session will consist of 3 days, 3 hours per day. She will have blood work done before each chemo treatment to see how the tumor is responding. This grueling process will be very tough on her, and we ask for your prayers and support in this journey.

Your prayers carried mom through the treatment of her lung cancer, and for this we are thankful. We ask that you keep the faith as she begins her tough fight next week. Please pray for strength, wisdom and peace.
