Lombok and Gili Islands Earthquake

Dear Friends and Family.
My name is Radek, I am one of the owners of Mowie's, and Gili Air has been my home for almost 5 years.
It is hard to believe that only a few days ago we were collecting donations for the victims of the first earthquake in Lombok, and soon after that on the 5th of August we became the victims of another huge earthquake. It is hard to describe in words what happened here and how scared everyone was. The power went off on the whole island, we all gathered on fields in desperate search for safety, waiting anxiously for news regarding potential tsunami threats.
After a rough night, all tourists started fleeing the island in panic from early morning but most of us leaving here, stayed, supporting each other.
All our staff members left to Lombok in fear for their families, only to find out that their villages and homes have been completely destroyed.
They have no way to help and rebuild their lives as gilis have been evacuated, all businesses shut which means they all lost the only source of income and with thousands needing help and shelter they are all hopelessly waiting for a miracle.
But we can all get together and help to rebuild their lives and confidence in humanity.
We have created this campaign to raise funds directly for our employees and their families in Gili Air and Lombok. The funds collected will be used to buy food, water, blankets, first aid kits, medicine and other necessities required to survive.
There will be full transparency in terms of the use of the allocated funds, these funds will not be used for any commercial or corporate benefit.
The allocation and withdrawal of the funds will be managed by the owners of Mowies and all donors will be able to view the distribution of funds through the follow up updates.
So please donate and remember that even a small amount will make a huge difference collectively.
