United Pursuit - School of Worship

Hey guys! Last week I saw a post on Facebook about the United Pursuit School of Worship. United Pursuit has been one of my biggest influences in worship and in music - yet, I never heard of this school.

I went to the website and watched the video in which they described an intimate 5 day experience, diving deep into the heart of worship, and the heart of God as a community of worshippers. For 5 days in Orange County California - they are inviting 30 people to come, and learn and listen to everything United Pursuit has learned through-out their journey of worship and community.

After watching the video - I thought, ‘what the heck’ and sent in a video audition (never expecting a response). Hundreds and thousands of people audition for this thing - and they only accept 30 - the odds were definitely not in my favor.

Well - I got in!!!

After much prayer, thanksgiving, and consideration from both ends, I’ve been invited, and accepted to attend the United Pursuit School of Worship this May 25th - May 30th. 

I’m stoked out of my mind!! United Pursuit was one of the first worship bands I heard when I got saved - and on the World Race, I saw them play in Ireland. They’ve easily been the biggest influence on how I sing/play, and how I lead worship. If I’m leading - chances are, I’m singing a song or two off the Banks House record. I’ve spent hours and hours, just soaking in the presence of God to their music - and have been so encouraged and inspired by it.

I love what the Lord is teaching them, and how they are experiencing the Lord through their community of worship. They are changing their communities where they live, because of the ways that they enter, and invite people into his presence. I want that!

Music - worship - art - have become such powerful tools for me, in my walk, and how I encounter the Lord. He’s gifted me with music, and I want to learn and grow as much as possible, to operate completely as his vessel. I want to better steward the gifts he’s placed inside of me, and I want to learn more about worship, and how to lead well - and I want to learn from the guys that’ve greatly impacted my walk.


So - here’s the deets:


This 5 day school costs 850$ - in which everything is included(food, lodging, sessions). Not only are they bringing in their own team - but they are also bringing in other worship leaders and professors to help teach and train us. Complete payment is due by May 20th.

Travel from Boise: Flights from Boise to Orange County are currently running for 300-350$ roundtrip + the cost of an Uber to/from the airport.

Check in is May 25th - check out is May 30th.
