Logan Makes A Stink Over Accessibility

Donation protected
Imagine, if you will, being locked in a cage.  A cage where you can not speak one word and you are unable to walk.  You will never escape from this dwelling, ever.  All while, surviving your days lusting for a life without confinement, wishing to be barrier free.  How would you feel?

In a nutshell, this is Logan.  His body is his cage.  He is in a daily battle against spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy which prevents him from doing what he desires to do.  At 14 years old he is unable to independently stand, walk, talk, nor eat or drink by mouth.  However, he is able to speak to you through his soulful eyes, light up a room with his radiant smile and contagious laughter.  He perseveres with a magnitude of strength and determination, no matter his challenges.

We need your help to demolish and rebuild Logan a barrier free, wheelchair accessible bathroom.  Currently, the existing bathroom is not functional for Logan's day to day needs.  Without appropriate wheelchair access, it is very difficult to do simple tasks such as brushing his teeth and washing his hands.  More importantly, it makes full assisted transfers extremely difficult and unsafe for Logan and his mom.  A brief layout of the remodel consists of: completely gutting the current bathroom, widening doorways, demolishing a wet bar and cutting into closet space to gain more room for accessibility, installing an ADA compliant sink, toilet, shower and stability bars for added safety.

Please considering contributing to Logan in our quest to grant him accessibility where it is needed most... in his home.  From the bottom of our hearts, we give you utmost appreciation for your consideration and generosity.  We will never be able to fully express our gratitude for your love and support!  While no one can cure Logan's cerebral palsy, nor fight all of his battles, together we can help remove barriers to help him be victorious!

The young man, not a myth and almost a legend... Logan.

The current bathroom needs to go bye bye bye.  Time to fight, for his right, to potty!
