Help My Big Sister Survive Cancer

Donation protected
Several weeks ago, my big sister Nicole discovered a lump in her breast. She is only 28, and is between health insurance coverages. She has always seemed to be the picture of health and beauty, and we couldn't imagine that it was anything serious. She lives with her incredible boyfriend, Jordan,

and their two chubby English bulldogs, Tucker and Tank.

She was my maid of honor in my wedding in Costa Rica in August,

and the whole time we were also daydreaming about her future California wedding and having kids with Jordan. (We love him!) She just got her dream job teaching at Bricks4Kidz, loves children, and has been so excited about starting her future with Jordan. This lump HAD to be a fluke. After getting tossed around between doctors, and lots of red-tape insurance procrastination for WEEKS, she was finally able to get the tests she needed.
Turns out, she has cancer. Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. My parents have managed to get her some insurance, but as it was done post her diagnosis, the premiums and costs are astronomical. She is scheduled for a double mastectomy on January 31st, 2017.
If everything goes well, we are hoping she can take the next steps, which are egg harvesting to protect them against the poisonous chemo, then draining chemo treatments, then painful breast reconstruction, and then..... hopefully fertility treatments to be able to create and carry a baby and live a long life watching her children grow up. Those are just our hopes. The only thing guaranteed right now is that she has a daunting battle of many months of pain, struggle, fear, and insurmountable medical expenses. Jordan will be taking time off work to care for her, she will clearly not be able to work. My wife Amanda and I are planning on going out after the surgery to help with the meals, caring for the dogs, and household chores.
For Nicole to have a shot at this life she has dreamed of that so many take for granted, we need your help. Any amount at all is so incredibly appreciated. Nicole is my big sister and I have always wanted to help and protect her.

She is the sweetest, most beautiful loving soul and she and Jordan deserve a strong team cheering them through this! Together we will help my sister kick cancer's ass and make sure she will have a chance at motherhood!
