LocallyU

LocallyU will be a website where you can find businesses that are local, ethical, sustainable, and that help the community. It is meant to empower you to become a better consumer by saying YES to businesses that promote a better world and saying NO to those who are destroying it. 

The purpose of LocallyU is to give you, the consumer, a chance to help your community. Every day we vote for the world we want to live in with our wallet. Because of this, we're hoping to make it easier for you to vote for a better world.

Anyone can submit a business for approval from anywhere in the country. The submission process only takes 30 seconds, and our goal is to be a nationwide entity that pushes the economy in a more ethical direction.

We're operating on an unemployed-college student budget. We will use these funds for:

- Better/quicker computation power
- A larger database
- Better location services
- Advertising
- T-shirts/business cards for outreach
- Travel to make businesses aware of our website
- Trademark

We really believe that LocallyU can be a great benefit to you and your community. We're hoping to create networks of compassionate consumers all across the country. We appreciate anything you can give us. But, if you can't donate, you can still help us out by using the site, adding to it, and telling your friends and family about it.

LocallyU will be launching this August. Upon launch, we will be servicing Binghamton, Albany, Utica, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, Oswego, Ithaca, Owego, Woodstock, Cortland, Glens Falls, Manhattan (Upper West/East Sides, Midtown), Kent (OH), and Greenville (SC).
