Who they are
Let me introduce you to Lindsay and Kaleb Stroud; highschool sweethearts, devoted Americans and friends to everyone they meet. Growing up in East Liverpool, Ohio, these two small town kids new they'd spend the rest of their lives together.

After Highschool Kaleb selflessy chose to serve our country in the United States Army. During his time in the Military, Kaleb served one  tour in Afghanistan(Operation Enduring Freedom) with the 25th Infantry Division out of Fort Wainwright Alaska.
Lindsay passed the time working back home in Ohio planning the life they would soon have as husband and wife upon Kalebs return home. From time to time they would talk about the children they imagined having and what names they would choose. Having children would soon become the most important aspect of their lives.

Braxton Xavier Stroud, Son & Angel

After four years of trying to concieve, Lindsay was starting to lose her hope for a child. After having a romantic dinner at their favorite sushi restaurant, Lindsay suddenly felt like something was different. Knowing pregnancy was unlikely she decided to buy a test just in case. No words can express the happiness she felt when the test came back positive. The next 9 months Lindsay would spend her time decorating a nursery, shopping for all those newborn must haves, imagining what he would look like, how she would feel the first time she saw his face, what his voice would sound like, all the things a hopeful mother looks foward to.

On September 17, 2016 their lives would change forever. Not feeling well, Lindsay knew she needed to make her way to the ER. It wouldn't take long for Doctors to discover Braxton had passed on. Words could never come close to describing the pain both her and Kaleb felt that day.

To quote Rose Kennedy, "It has been said time heals all wounds… I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind protecting it’s sanity covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens, but it’s never gone…"

Why they need our help?

After the tragic loss of their son, The Strouds have not given up hope on the family they always dreamed of. While deployed in Afghanistsan, Kaleb sustained injuries that would cause irreparable reproductive damage. Being a disabled veteran, Kaleb is entitled to certain healthcare benefits from the VA. However the treatment needed will not be covered nor provided by the VA.
Week after week they schedule doctor appointments, talk with specialists, try suggestions from friends, all of this to no avail. They've exhasuted every possible resource within reach leaving them with no realistic options. Their last resort for a child has come down to IVF(In vitro fertilization). According to a recent article posted by Forbes a single IVF cycle can cost upwards of $12,000 not including $3-5,000.00 for medications which puts the total cost closer to $20,000.00
For a cycle of IVF to even be scheduled, clinics require a payment of around$9,000.00.

Kaleb and Lindsay are the kind of people who put others before themselves. They never hesitate to help a friend in need. Whether it's a kind word from Lindsay or a firm hug from Kaleb, this husband and wife will always be a beacon of warmth/love for others around them. For years they've put others needs before their own and now it's our turn to return the favor.
If you are unable to donate today, that's alright, just taking the time out of your day to read their story is enough. Keep Lindsay, Kaleb and Braxton in your heart and prayers.
Thank you and Godbless
