Living in a Van for the Homeless

For the next few months, I'm living in a van and donating the savings to organizations directly benefitting the homeless, refugees, migrants, and asylees. The premise is simple: deny myself a home in solidarity with the homeless, and raise money for people who can't opt out of their dislocation.
This fundraiser will directly benefit three organizations:
- International Rescue Committee ,
- World Vision , and
- Bay Area Rescue Mission .
Each will receive exactly 1/3 of what I raise here. Each organization does crucial work both locally and globally in training refugees, assisting the homeless, and providing relief and development for communities in turmoil.
I will be moving out of the van in September of 2017 - that's when I will make the donation. I am not directly involved with these charities, but hope to over the next few months. Let's see how much we can raise together!
