Hello family and friends!
If you know me, you would know that taking this step is out of my character, I very seldom ask for help. For the most part I always find a way to work things out on my own with Gods’ will, therefore I am swallowing my pride and allowing others into my current situation.
When my family and I found out that my little brother would need a kidney transplant with in the next year. I did not think twice, I made the decision to become his living organ donor.
Although he is in CA and I am in OK, I was able to complete majority of required test to determine if I would be a match for him. He had no idea, as I wanted to make sure we were a match before I mentioned it to him. I did not want to disappoint him if the results weren’t favorable. God willing, I was able to give him the great news this Christmas. I am extremely happy to be able to go through this experience. I believed God has a plan for us all.
I am scheduled for final testing in March, which requires me to fly back to CA. during this visit I will be scheduling the date for surgery. I will be out of work for 4-6 weeks for recovery and I currently do not have enough paid leave to cover me for the entire period. The loss of wages will put my family and I in a bind with outstanding bills, daycare plus the cost of airfare. I need to raise approximately $5,000 to cover such expenses during my down time. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
