Can you imagine missing a week of school or work every month because you're female and have a monthly cycle? Being shunned from the classroom or workplace because you're viewed as unclean or dirty?
Fact: On average, one of every 10 women miss a week of school or work because they do not have menstrual products. Twelve weeks of education, work and productivity lost due to avoidable circumstances. During their periods, women hide in dark, damp places, use leaves, mattress stuffing, newspaper, cornhusks etc. depressing, h humiliating and endangering their health because of unsanitary methods. The solution to this problem would be providing economical reusable pad kits.
We are Women in Power and we are here to support & empower women to rise into leadership. We are a connected, passionate, inspiring circle of female visionaries - a female movement that ignites the power in women. We have met our first opportunity to do so.
This spoke very loudly to us cause we can't imagine such a basic need causing such a handicap. We are rallying fellow powerhouse women and men alike who feel the value of providing a simple solution that will literally buy her 84 days back in the year for 3 years - 84 days to expand her imagination, apply herself, impact the world and share her grandness and grace.
"Days for Girls" has curated an exquisite and attractive baglet equipped with reusable pads and all means necessary to go through her monthly cycle with clean and ease - it's just missing the midol ;)
