Help is on the way!
Little Wanderers is an all-volunteer cat rescue group focusing primarily in the Deep South Bronx and Northern Manhattan; and in the most hard-hit areas in all of New York City.
We provide Trap-Neuter-Return and critical rescue services to some of the neediest felines in the City. Since September 2014, Little Wanderers has TNR'ed over 425 cats and placed over 100 cats and kittens into loving, forever homes. The majority of the funding to provide these critical direct services comes from volunteers pockets causing a huge strain on already stretched too thin pockets!
Little Wanderers needs your support to continue our intense rescue of the cats that truly suffer from unimaginable horror. Funding will go directly to support TNR, veterinary care, shelter and food to keep colonies alive. Because we go into the hardest hit areas, many of the cats we rescue have illness and medical complications ranging from broken limbs to seizure disorders to eye removals.
As always, copies of veterinary bills are available upon request!
Little Wanderers is on the front lines of the rescue battle. We need your support to keep going!Thank you for being part of the solution and supporting us!
CHLOE and friends
Our darling Chuck had his mouth surgery on May 20th and we are happy to report that he is doing ok. He had most of his teeth removed and was diagnosed with plasma cell gingivitis, a condition that basically treats teeth as if they are the enemy. It is a serious auto-immune disorder and, left untreated, has devastating consequences.
The vet team left a few canines and he had a crown ectomy on his lower left canine. He was treated with antibiotics, pain medications, etc. He's doing well today! Eating like a champ.
Please help us defray the cost of surgical repair for Chuck! He needs to hear from you! Make a contribution in our gofundme
today. It means more than you know!
*Note: we have been having problems with the gofundme website so we have switched back to our original campaign. Please DM if you have any trouble donating!
Here's our Paco! Now only with one dressing on his right hind leg (Paco was the cat that was hit and dragged by a car and left to die. His skin was peeled off both hind feet and his left knee was exposed to the bone). He's gained a pound and is doing very well! All he wants to do is be petted. We love our Paco!
Paco is looking for a temporary foster before he goes to his new home. Can you give home the love and care that he needs? We will provide all supplies!

The saga with Oliver continues, the poor thing!
After surgical repair of Oliver's broken leg on 4/4/16, it has become clear that he will never have use of his front left leg again AND he is in tremendous pain.
Oliver was rescued from Inwood (northern Manhattan) on 4/3/16 after a neighbor had spotted a black cat "limping around." Indeed Oliver was hit by a car and left to die. He hobbled on three legs for weeks until Little Wanderers found him and rushed him to our local vet. Although they did what they could, it was NOT enough. At this time the pin that was surgically inserted is sticking his radial nerve and causing permanent nerve damage. He is in bad shape.
In order to give Oliver the chance that he needs, his front left leg requires amputation. We have gotten three surgical consults and the best fit is Rivergate Vet in Manhattan. They will charge $1800 to remove the broken leg.
Oliver needs to hear from you! Help him to be free of pain! By close of business April 21st we need $1800! Please donate now to help Oliver. You'll be helping him more than you can ever imagine. See our gofundme link in bio.
We are just a tiny rescue group doing all of this- it's very difficult. It will be appreciated more than you know!
Broken leg boy Oliver had to be raced back to the vet yesterday due to some leakage in his leg. He's been prescribed an antibiotic and some medication to help heal the leg. We want to save Oliver's leg and we hope he will one day, be fully weight bearing!
Please help us defray our $1300 outstanding bill at Petchester! We want and need to bring new rescues but we have to satisfy old bills. You can call 914-771-7387 and make a direct donation to Little Wanderers!
You make it possible!
