The Culture Rocks Little Corn Is.

Donation protected
I have been visiting Little Corn Island Since 1998 and have been living there since about 2001. I am someone who has always looked for ways to help the Island preserve the delicate way of life found nowhere else on the planet. In 2013 I started to identify and mark sites where we find historic objects,  working with the National Museum of Nicaragua and GIVE Volunteers. Many Sites are on private land slated for development, but one of them just so happens to be in my back yard.

The Culture Rocks> In the time of the Original Kukra Indians whom lived in Little Corn Island these rocks would have been their floors where they tied naturally made hammocks under leaf huts to sleep. Many Artifacts have been found in my yard and preserved in the local Cultural Center. Even though I have lived in Little Corn Island almost all my life, my small salary has only ever afforded me to be a land tenant on other peoples land. Now with increased Tourism and many Foreigners coming to Little Corn Island to Live the owners want to sell the land and the Culture Rocks. I have intervened to buy the land and have put down a large summon of the money, but am coming up short and must pay down the rest by Decemeber this year. If you care about the Island and its history please donate to help me buy this land. I know many of may be thinking I am making this stuff up to try and get help buying a piece of Land, but come to Little Corn Island and ask about Rasta Punch(a nick name given to me) and you will realizes that me and my family are people whom look to preserve not exploit or beautiful tiny Island.

We plan to buy the land and keep the Culture Rocks completely preserved by neither moving them nor building around them. We also will continue to help protect and preserve other sites and artifacts on the island with our works in identifying historic sites in the National Registry one of which will be the Culture Rocks with your help.
