Little Hercules fighting diabetes

Hercules was brought to us a short time ago. He might have been abandoned after his owner died. A concerned person brought him to Pet Refuge. His fur was so matted that he had to be completely shaved. At that time the vet realized that something was wrong. He was started on diabetes treatment but a couple of days later went into diabetic crisis. He is currently in an emergency  veterinary hospital receiving 24 hr care in an attempt to stabilize him. His hospital bill is expected to be at least $2000, and even after discharge he will need close monitoring and vet visits for some time and a special diet for life.
