Little Buttons Theatre Presents: The Ed Fringe!
Hello! We are Little Buttons Theatre, a brand new company founded and made up of University of York graduates. 
Little Buttons Theatre was founded in December 2018, a company dedicated to realising original writing and creating imaginative work - often tinged with the absurd and bristling with dark humour. Made up of graduates from University of York's 'Theatre: Writing, Directing and Performance' course, we're hoping to take our first ever show up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year but we need your help! It's a very pricey endeavour and although we're in the process of organising a range of fundraisers, your donations to our gofundme campaign would bring us a lot closer to our budget target!
We're so excited to have been given this incredible opportunity, the chance to have our work showcased at the Ed Fringe is a fantastic platform to get our voices and ideas out into the world. We would be so grateful for your generous support in helping our debut!

About Our Show
'High Trees' first premiered at University Of York's Drama Barn on 26th February 2018.
Memories erased. Identities taken. Strange sounds bubble outside the room, triggering dreams that might just ensure our misfit friends have enough clues to piece the puzzle together before impending doom... Love. Affection. Anarchy. Inspired by the works of Martin McDonagh (In Bruges) and Bruce Robinson (Withnail and I), High Trees is a tender tale of guilt and compassion, a darkly humorous two-hander that simmers with ominous bite. Featuring the music of Buddy Holly, Marc Bolan, Japan and John Lennon.
"a charmingly witty black comedy depicting the lives of two criminals waiting for their fate to be decided. The play was surprisingly heart warming with three dimensional characters you couldn't help but smile at." - York Drama Society, Open Drama Nights.
High Trees will be performed at Greenside, Nicholson Square from 12th - 24th August.

We are one of two theatre companies who have been founded by University of York alumni, the other being the spectacular Spare The Rod Theatre, who are also premiering their show at Greenside this summer at the venue's Infirmary Street space.
