Forever in our hearts, Lisa Park
On May 22, 2017 the world lost an amazing woman, wife, mother, sister, and friend in Lisa Sunhee Park. Lisa Sunhee Park was killed in a hit and run that occurred near Royal Vista Golf Course 20055 East Colima Rd. Walnut, CA 91789. The incident occurred on the Colima Rd. on Sunday, May 21 at approximately 1:00 p.m. She was crossing the crosswalk in a golf cart and was brutally hit by an unidentified vehicle. The car hit her once on first impact then hit her again to flee the scene.
She was rushed to the hospital and put on life support immediately. She remained in the hospital for 4 days, unresponsive, suffering from several brain hemorrhages, broken pelvis, and internal bleeding. After 2 surgeries, she wasn't showing any improvement. She was taken off life support on May 25, 2017 and that's the last time we'd see my mother.
Our Mother was a warm, compassionate, kind and beautiful woman who always went out of her way to help others-no matter what. She had an illuminating aura which endeared her to everyone she came in contact with. She always put others before herself. Our Mother was special. Our Mother ran a small sandwich shop in Irvine CA, for 10 years giving great hospitality to the people who came for breakfast and lunch. Her dream was to sell the business and make a trip to South Korea to spread the word of Jesus Christ to others. As we all grieve during this time we are going to be facing the toughest battle. My family and I are most grateful and touched by those who gave us support and love during this time of need. We ask that the community continues to raise awareness for the justice of my mother. All donations will be going towards our mothers last battle in the hospital. We can't thank you enough for your help.
