Thank you for taking the time to visit this page for a very special person. Lisa Rodriguez is a beautiful mother, USAF veteran, and grandmother of a little girl. She volunteers most of her time helping homeless veterans around Tucson, AZ In her spare time, Lisa enjoys riding her motorcycle with friends.

Sadly on Monday June 6th, 2016 Lisa was involved in a life-altering motorcycle accident. Her family and friends are making this fund to help Lisa through this time. Funds will go toward medical expenses, making her home handi-accessible, wheelchair and other mobility equipment, as well as help her maintain her bills. Thank you for all the help and support!

Update

Lisa has been working hard at her physical therapy, and has become a pro at a manual wheelchair, she will be going home next week (Wednesday). Unfortunately her insurance company has denied all of the medical equipment she needs, including her manual wheelchair, home modifications and an adjustable bed. We have some great people who have helped with some walkway modifications, but her home is still not ready for her to live a quality life. We are praying we can find the help she needs. Any donations and share would be very appreciated. Thank you!

Things for Lisa have been looking up lately. She is completely off of her traq and all breathing equipment, and can eat regular food :) She has been actively participating in physical therapy almost every day, getting herself ready to come back home.

The next step now is to get her house ready for her. The plan is to build an addition on her house that is fully handi accessible for her. We are lucky to have volunteers willing to help with construction, but we now need to raise about $25,000 for materials. Any help would be greatly appreciated, shares, donations, volunteers. Thank you all and bless you.

Lisa has been doing much better since last update. She has finally gotten off the ventilator and is only using supplemental oxygen as a precaution for now. She will be relocating to a rehab facility next week so she can work on building up her strength. Things are starting to look up in her recovery. And please, if you would like to visit, let me know and I will give you directions to her. Thank you for all of your support .
No more ventilator :)

My mom is doing a tad better, she has had a tracheostomy, so no more tubes in her mouth. She can't quite talk yet but it's much easier to read her lips. Thank you everyone for your help

I've known Bob F. for years (he dried some ammo out in my garage once, you'll have to ask him the story) and he says you're the best. I know you have a long road ahead but we will be wishing you only good. I'll donate again when I get another royalty check. Brigid
