My mother heart goes out to a dear friend and incredible person, Lisa Calderwood.
News just yesterday, December 15th, of another brain tumor, a 3rd since Brain Cancer prognosis, nearly 4
years ago. This news has sent a shock and perspective to those that know her and even those that don't.
She is an active wife and mother of 4 sweet kids, ranging 5-11yrs old. Her previous 2 tumors were anaplastic astrocytomas, diagnosed stage 3 cancer. One on her right hemisphere, and the other on her cerebellum. She fought them each with intense brain surgeries, followed by weeks of chemo and radiation. Side effects to boot.
Her newest tumor is said to be a Glioblastoma- which is the worst type of tumor, very aggressive and stage 4 cancer. Most likely non-operable.
Sure, funds will go to the many medical expenses, including the drug AVASTIN, in hopes to shrink the tumor but, the TIME and memories that she could have and make with her family in the near future is key. Time is limited and oh so precious. Please help Lisa and her sweet family be able to easier bare this hardship and expense. Prayers, perspective and any donation is amazing.
