Lisa Peters' Helpline

Donation protected
Hello everyone and anyone who knows and cares about my mom, Lisa Peters. This money is to help with life, taking care of the twins, the household, and to stay afloat for the long recovery period! Anything that you can generously donate to our family will be greatly appreciated. If you cannot contribute money speak with Jenn Robinson as she will have a list of other ways to contribute and be involved in our family's caretaking.
*** Here is the brief story of what has medically happened to Lisa Peters.
-As of Friday night, I think most of you would have noticed with the absence of her and her cowbell's presence at the senior night football game, my mom had become very sick and was rushed to the resolute emergency room on the morning of the 9th. There we learned she had a perforated colon and became septic from everything in her bowl being spread in the rest of her body. This caused infection and as a result, her blood pressure plummeted to a deathly rate and heart rate skyrocketed. The trauma team was activated and she was moved to the ICU as soon as a room opened up. This was a matter of life or death and we were unsure of which way it was going to go.
-They got her right on four antibiotics and other medications to control the infection and pain overnight before performing her Stat surgery on Sunday morning.
-Surgery entailed removing part of her large intestine and washing out her body with sterile water as an organ wash to help cleanse part of the sepsis. They ended up having to leave her open since infection still hadn't subsided and did not feel comfortable closing.
-  From Sunday to Wednesday she has been monitored and been kept on oxygen as well as given more antibiotics and medicine to keep her comfortable.
-At 2 Pm on Wednesday afternoon the 13th, she was taken back for her second surgery to do another wash of her organs and to close the incision completely and set her up for another surgery that will connect everything back up no less than a year from now.
-After her second surgery, the surgeon will have to monitor the wound and make sure everything is healing right and will be in the ICU for several more days and is definitely not out of the clear. He said she has quite a while before she is even able to be released to go home.
