Lisa, Hood, loving wife, mother, new grandmother, co-worker, friend. As long as I have known her, she has always put her family, and her clients ahead of her own needs, medical and otherwise. She is friend, counselor, problem solver, party planner, secret keeper, business advisor and much more to those of us blessed to be a part of her life.
On December 1, 2016 after a long day at work, she headed home and was hit head on in a horrific car crash. Thankfully she survived, but her injuries are extensive. As I write this she is in the hospital, in ICU, and has had at least one surgery already. Lisa's injuries include a broken elbow, ribs, (and arm I believe), along with a broken Pelvis. The doctor said that without surgery, on her pelvis, she will NEVER walk again. She is having surgery again today, with possibly more needed to fix her now severely broken body.
These are career ending injuries folks. Career ending, BUT knowing Lisa, she will fight to not let that be the case.
Lisa's family is not only now grappling with this event, but they have now lost half of their household income in the blink of an eye. While she recovers, the bills still need to be paid, mortgage, utilities, food, and now huge medical bills. This is a horrible event, for anyone at any time in our lives.
The Christmas season is upon us. Please consider this cause to be your avenue for helping others this holiday season. Lets help ease the financial burden that is headed their way. Please donate whatever you can, no amount is too small.
