My name is Lisa Goe:)
I'm an independent songwriter and artist best known for writing a song with my friend Ernie Halter . The song we wrote together, by chance, has been sung live by Justin Bieber across the world ! Although the song has been heard across the world, and incredibly touched so many peoples lives, we did not receive the monetary success that some would assume.
As an independent songwriter, I have worked extremely hard to get where I am at today. I have never been published/ signed/ managed by a company. I have worked multiple jobs to be able to make time to have writing sessions/ pay for demos/ and fly between Nashville and La for numerous opportunities. And I'm happy to say, each trip, each song, each friendship in music I have gained, has been a stepping stone towards every writer/ artists goal: to be heard.
I recently was asked by the 2nd Annual Mustaine Retreat, to fly to Mykonos / Syros Greece 9/3-9/10th to write with the following people
Dave & Electra Mustaine (Megadeth)
Sean Scanlon (Chainsmokers)
Dillon Deskin & Kaell (Flo Rida)
David Belliveau (Carly Rae Jepson)
Dave Pittenger (Florida Georgia Line)
& several other highly esteemed writers
I was floored when I received the phone call, and rather than say why me... I asked how much and when!!
Not only was this opportunity incredible and above my wildest dreams, it was finally an opportunity to go overseas near Italy, where my Nonna had always wanted to take us grandkids..but sadly never had the chance.
THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN!!
Literally every dollar is meaningful, and I couldn't do this trip without you. Most of the writers on this trip are signed or represented by a monetary means, so see this as you and me having our own personal sponsorship!
I've already purchased the ticket I can't afford, bit my lip and am ready to venture into the many wonderful ways to eat tap ramen noodles!
I'd like to turn those noodles, into PASTA noodles & wine!
Here is a break down of what is needed.
FLIGHT: $1500 BNA->BOS->ATHENS & back
FERRY: $400 roundtrip from Athens to Mykonos/Syros
FOOD: $100
TOTAL: $2000

I can not express how much your support will be able to help. What good is a creative mind if its stressed about how to pay next months rent am I right?
For those who may be hesitent, and think I should wait till I have more time, or more money... how long has it been since you've taken that trip, jumped that gap to make it to the other side, oh wait.. or been asked by the Mustaines to write with them. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I hope to create some incredible music that can do great things and BE HEARD!!
