Help a special ed. teacher pay for tuition

My husband, Adam, is a special education high school teacher, provisionally hired by Fairfax County Public Schools in northern Virginia. He was hired under the impression that there would be tuition reimbursement and grant opportunities to offset the cost of finishing his teaching certificate. These funds, by and large, have failed to materialize, despite repeatedly applying for them.

At present, he is one class behind, because we could not afford to pay for one of his classes last summer. In order to finish in time, he needs to double up on classes. We've pleaded with his employer to let him access the money in his retirement account (to no avail), and maxed out our student loans years ago. In short, we're in the kind of debt that would make most people weep and don't have a whole lot of options left for financing his remaining coursework. Right now, we're just trying to make it past the finish line with our respective educations (I'm at the candidacy stage in my PhD, and he has his BA and MA, but needs to finish a teaching certification to keep his current job).  

I'm asking for the money we need to pay for two of his courses, giving us a tiny bit of breathing room to save up for the remaining courses. Each course is a little over $1400. I've rounded this up to include GoFundMe's transaction fees and to cover some of the textbook costs. Anything you can spare would be immensely helpful. 

Also, Adam doesn't know that I'm doing this, so please don't tell him. We know that most of our friends are in similarly tight financial spots, and he hates asking for help. But he is an amazing, talented educator and belongs in a classroom. Please spread this far and wide.
