Lindsee Strong

Lindsee, a wife, mother of 6 girls, daughter, sister and wonderful friend to many has been diagnosed with a rare blood disease called TTP.

Her initial trip to the hospital resulted in a diagnosis of EEE (virus from a misquoto) and Meningitis. She had swelling of the brain and caused her to have memory loss for about 3 days.  She was put on very strong antibiotics and sent home with a pic line to administer herself.

On October 11 she fell ill again. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance for the second time in 2 1/2 weeks. After many tests to rule out so many diagnoses we are at the diagnosis of Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) is a rare blood disorder. In TTP, blood clots form in small blood vessels throughout the body. The clots can limit or block the flow of oxygen-rich blood to the body's organs, such as the brain, kidneys, and heart. Her brain still had the swelling but at this point there had been an abscess that burst on her brain as well. In order to release the pressure and remove the fluid they had to do brain surgery to install a drain tube. After waking up from the surgery she was scared and confused, feisty as always started panicking and pulling out her lines and had to be sedated with a breathing tube to keep her safe. While all this is going on we find out her kidneys are very weak, her heart now had a growth or mass on it causing it to be weak and her blood cells started to separate so now a plasma exchange was needed to be done. 

She has had so many MRI’s, Cat Scans, medications, wires hooked up to her and pokes that a great person like she is should never have to endure.

The amazing Witter family needs so much help with this all. Jason being off of work so he can hold his wife’s hand through this, gas money to and from the hospital for family, they are originally from MI so hotel stays for the family, medical bills, and any other need, lord knows there’s going to be many.

Please I hope and pray every day she will snap out of this and this whole thing can be put behind us like a bad dream. But from now till then everyone that knows this woman knows she would do absolutely anything for anyone in this world and has to so many already. Please consider helping this family!
