Linda Greene's Memorial Service

Linda Jean Black Greene, my mother, my sunshine, was an incredible soul. I lack the ability to truly put into words how important and wonderful this woman was. In fact, I don't believe there are words in the English vocabulary to truly describe how much of an amazing person Linda was. She was wise and knowledgeable on so many things, a genuine renaissance woman. She was incredibly beautiful, and her beauty was only paralleled by her compassionate, caring soul. Neverthelesss, she was the Sass Queen, the matriarch of attitude and determination. Not to say she was stubborn…but she was stubborn. Or better, she was strong-willed and ambitious. She was kind and tender, but strong and firm all the same. Linda lived her life as a symbol of growth from adversity, and she attracted adversity but never faltered. She was an unstoppable force of sincerity and joy in my life, and brought happiness into my heart. She was herself, and no one else could've been a better mother to my brother and I. Her memory will live on with those she touched, and we will keep that memory strong and alive until the day we see her again.

Her death was completely unprecedented. We initially believed that she would pull through, and her health would continue to improve. However, we are now stuck between a rock and a hard place, and trying to work ourselves out of it. Because it was so unexpected, we are extremely short on funds. Her funeral is going to potentially cost upwards of $9,000 before all is said and done. We want to ensure that her service is one that she deserves, and one that can bring us some closure to the hardest challenge of our lives. All funds received will go directly to the funeral and burial costs of our sweet mother.
