Hello to all our friends and family!
On Wednesday 10/31/18 our mother, Linda, had to under go an unexpected open heart surgery to have a CABG x 3 (Triple Bypass). After having a Cardiac Catherization for some possible stenting, the doctors found 85% blockages and realized that surgery was the only option considering their severity and location within the arteries. Needles to say, the stenting that we were expecting was a much different procedure than what they were now suggesting!
Luckily, Linda handled the surgery in strides and was out of the ICU within a day after surgery, and as we write this from the hospital she will be expected to be here for a total of 5-7 days.
Although her health will improve and we expect recovery to go well, Linda will need to be out of work for 6-8 Weeks, or longer. This is the reason why Ryan and I are reaching out to help our mother through this future time.
If anyone has known Linda's situation over the past few years, you may know how hard she has been working just to get by; cleaning houses, working at Home Depot, being a cashier, etc. all of this 7 days a week just to pay the bills. And, to add to the stress of having to undergo the surgery she had just lost one of those jobs a few weeks before the surgery. While another job was already lined up, we do not know if she will have it after her recovery period.
We feel very fortunate that the insurance will cover most of her medical bills, but she will be left with all of her monthly expenses, insurance deductibles, student loans, car payments and trying to live with no job, or savings.
For someone who works tirelessly, Linda deserves and NEEDS some relief! Ryan and I are so proud of how strong she is and how hard she has worked to grow and become the person she is today. She has made huge strides throughout her lifetime.
If anyone has even a few dollars to spare it would mean the world for Linda, and Ryan and me. Linda's expenses are roughly 2,500 a month, we really hope to raise 3 months of expenses and roughly 5,000 dollars to help pay the medical expenses that she will need to pay.
Our hopes are to raise at least a few thousand dollars as soon as possible so that we can pay the first months expense.
