In October 2016, Lily’s medal winning performance at the 2016 WorldSkills Australia National Competition earned her a place on the Worldskills Australia Skills Squad team among Australia’s best young skilled apprentices and trainees.

Lily, along with 17 of Australia’s current National Champions from their particular trade or skill has now been succesfully selected to join the elite *2017 Skillaroos forming part of Team Australia that will go on to represent Australia at the world’s largest vocational skills competition – the WorldSkills International Competition, which will take place in Abu Dhabi in October 2017.

Lily is working tirelessly every day to reach her goal of winning the Gold Medal while representing her country in Abu Dhabi. Often referred to as the Olympic Games for Skills and Trades, the WorldSkills International Competition will see the world’s best trade young men and women, from 76 nations, compete in 50 different categories for the title of World Champion.

To ensure Lily has the best possible chance of winning a medal, she is now taking on an intensive training program and along with her mentors, category experts and a team of dedicated volunteers Lily will train and develop her skills, her decision making abilities and build the resilience needed to compete against the world’s best.
