Lillie has cancer and her insurance won't help us!

Hello everybody, firstly, thankyou for even opening the link to read our story about our beautiful first baby, Lillie. Lillie is 9 and a half years old, and she has been with us since she was just 6 weeks old.  Like many other doggy mummy's, she is my world. My best friend, my therapy. Lillie has helped me through some of my toughest times and I cannot imagine my life without her. I know one day it will come, but at the moment, it is preventable. She has been diagnosed with an aggressive soft tissue sarcoma. I'm devastated. The sarcoma itself is inoperable. However, an amputation of her hind leg will remove (hopefully) all traces of the horrible "C" word. Now, I know, for many dogs, this would be a huge decrease in their quality of life, however, Lillie is such a nervy little fur-baby, that her walks are few and far between. Her favourite thing in all the world (besides dinner time!) is being snuggled up at home, and I am 99% sure that if she could tell me what she wanted, then it would be to lose that leg, rather than her life. Without the amputation, we've been given as little as 6-12 months before we lose her. I'm rambling, I'm nervous. So down to the point of this fundraising idea... We have of course got insurance for Lillie, always have done, always will do. But unfortunately, they've made the decision not to cover this! The reason being, she had her anal glands removed 3 and a half years ago. Now I'm not too sure atall how this is related, infact I'm quite sure, and so is our vet, that it is totally unrelated! But Lillie doesn't have time for me to fight them over it.  So far our vet fees are up to £450 approximately. Our vet has given a rough estimate of £1200 for the amputation. Then we have the medication, post op scans and check ups ect. I have never asked for this sort of help from anybody, let alone so publicly. But I thought I'd swallow my pride, and for once, ask for help! Lillie needs the procedure asap, but our vet has advised that we have probably up to 3 months to get it done before the amputation won't be viable. So here's hoping, you never know until you try hey! I will raise the funds one way or another, so please, there is no pressure to donate, but anything will help at this point. And I would be eternally grateful. Loads of love and hopefull staffy kisses, from me and Lillie x
