Lily's Fight Against Leukemia
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Amanda and I first want to say thank you for visiting this page and supporting my niece Lillian Harper (my sister's daughter) who was diagnosed with high risk ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) on July 11, 2015- which was also her 3rd birthday.
Here is her story: On July 10, Lily was in Disneyland celebrating her birthday when she became very lethargic and started to have some odd bruising. That night, a blood test in the ER showed the ugly truth- Leukemia. She spent the next several days in Children's Hospital LA receiving blood transfusions & platelets as well as her first bone marrow biopsy, a lumbar puncture, and she received her PICC line. In a very short time, she as endured more then any child should. Through it all she gives a bright smile and is incredibly brave.
Lily is a vibrant, brave, funny, and amazing little girl. We have been told that treatment will take as long as 26 months. The beginning will be to kill the cancer and the rest will be maintenance treatment to prevent the occurence of relapse.
We thank you in advance for your prayers, thoughts, support and your contributions. Lily has an amazing family and community of friends supporting her, her parents (Sean & Michelle) and big sister (Charlotte) every step of the way. We will beat cancer! We are eternally grateful!
