Lili’s medical cost

Hello everyone Lili came to brighten our lives in April 2010. Since then, due to some birth abnormalities, she has been in and out of the hospital and has had to withstand more than 14 operations. Lili, at her very mature age of 8, has taken on it all like a true champion. Since November 2017 however, life decided to challenge us even further. Lili became extremely ill with high fevers and stomach pains like no other. It has been rough and has required our little fighter to be in and out of the hospital every other week. Since April 29th, we have been at Children's and Lili has been battling a nasty blood bacteria. To find the source of the infection, additional surgery was required. It was thought that a piece of plastic left in her stomach from her last shunt revision " surgery " was the cause. It was removed but that was not the culprit after all. She was being treated with antibiotics that made her feel better but she continued to be very sick. Thinking the problem might be the shunt itself, they went ahead and externalized the shunt to drain. Unfortunately, her condition did not improve and Lili is now on life support. She continues to fight with all she has as she's always done and we continue to pray for healing.
