Lil Lot for Mosque on the Prairie

Dear Brothers and Sisters:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim].
We are asking for your help in completing the Moose Jaw Masjid parking lot. Without a parking lot that meets Saskatchewan building standards, we will not be able to open the mosque. By the grace of Allah, we have already raised $1.2 million to complete the majority of the construction and only need $75 000 for the parking lot. The lot construction has begun - design work has been completed; and grading, draining, and paving are underway. With your donation, we hope to have the lot completed within four months.
The Moose Jaw Masjid serves a diverse community of 100 families - with about a third of the families being refugees. We established the Islamic Association of Saskatchewan Moose Jaw (IAS Moose Jaw) in 2004 so that we could meet for regular prayers and establish a madrasa for the little ones. Currently, we meet in a small basement but are very much looking forward to having our own Masjid to pray, learn, teach, and gather.
The Masjid needs your generosity to help create an Islamic community for the Muslims of Moose Jaw. The IAS Moose Jaw is a registered charity (#851386433RR0001) and can provide you with a tax receipt if you include your full name and mailing address with the Sadqa or Zakat. Sohaib Ansari is managing the funds from this campaign and ensuring they are spent on the parking lot.
