LIFE FOR LEN

Please support our efforts in raising funds for medical bills, awareness and support for my twin brother Leonard W. Kasinski. My brother is 42 years old and has End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and has been on dialysis for over 600 days now. My twin endures 9 hours of dialysis per day to survive each day. My brother is a passionate, hard working and a dedicated individual desperately wanting to LIVE again. He is a fun, loving and humorous uncle to my 4 year old daughter and I REALLY want them to continue creating happy memories together. I am a single parent and my parents are retired and on a limited income. We have tried to stay afloat with amounting medical bills but too many have accrued for us to keep up with this progressive debilitating disease.

Leonard is currently on the National Kidney Transplant list but the average wait time can be anywhere from 3 to 5 years. We have a long way to go and it is my plea for anyone out there who would graciously consider donating to please contact LIVINGDONOR . As his twin sister I tried to donate my kidney but was unfortunately not a suitable match. We as a family grieved heavily over me as his twin not being a match but trust in the Lord’s divine intervention and remain hopeful with God’s grace a donor will come forward. In the meantime from a sibling’s love from one sister and brother to another if you can share this page with your friends and family and support us in any way possible we would immensely appreciate it.

Len is employed (@zappos) but as we wait for a donor to come forward the disease process and its secondary complications has made it very difficult to work on a consistent basis. Due to his ESRD many other medical complications have come about including dangerously elevated parathyroid levels. The disease process has caused secondary bone density depletion and daily tasks have lead to a broken ankle. My brother is hospitalized again with cardiac problems and  blood pressure issues which has made him bedbound. The doctors are trying to treat both issues but my brother's hemoglobin is low so he is at risk now for possible blood clots. My family and I are so devastated to see the effects this disease has caused my brother. Leonard is passionate about life and living and really needs a kidney donor to come forth to give him a second chance at the gift of life. Any contributions, awareness and support you can offer or make to help contain medical costs will help keep my brother’s life more functional and hopeful and my family overall. We are grateful for you reading and considering giving and pray for love, light and joy in each of your lives.
