Life saving surgery for mini doxie

Our miniature dachshund Loki needs immediate life-saving surgery to her spine. She is currently paralyzed and the vet bill is more than we can afford. We are in the middle of a house move and have a baby coming very soon so we are struggling financially to cover her medical care.

Loki is the greatest dog ever and she is only 5 years old. She loves to cuddle all day and will jump on any open lap. Her favorite thing to do is tearing apart a brand new toy (as she gets bored with old ones pretty fast!). She has been the greatest friend we could have asked for, especially during difficult times when one of us was unemployed: she offered daily comfort and raised morale of everyone in the house. 

Any help is greatly appreciated as she is like a daughter to us and we are trying everything we can to keep her around so she can meet her "brother" in November and grow old together. We have been playing crying-baby sounds in preparation for the baby coming and we would like her to hear them in real life. We know she would be an amazing big sister!
