Life is ALWAYS Sunny
Just about a week ago my very good friend Sarah was crushed with devastating news that her fur baby Sunny was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive bone cancer called Chondrosarcoma.
First Id like to tell everyone a little about Sunny and his crazy journey over the last year! Sunny is a pure bred Golden Retriever with the biggest heart. He was given his forever home at just 8 weeks old! The last few months have been traumatic for little Sunny. He’s just finally started to recover from being bite by one of the rarest poisonous snakes in New England.
Sunny has proved that he is THE STRONGEST little guy. Sunny has gotten his Mama Sarah through some really tough times and has been her rock through it all. So you can imagine this shocking news of the big C was devastating to not only his incredibly strong Mama but to all of his family and friends.
Sunny’s symptoms started about a month or so ago with a lameness in his front left leg. After a few doctors appointments and attempts to help the limping an X-ray revealed that sunny had a tumor in his left front leg. Immediately the tumor was biopsied and diagnosed as Chondrosarcoma. One of the fastest metastasizing bone cancers. Sarah had to make a quick and terribly hard decision to have Sunny’s leg amputated.
Yesterday November 14th was Sunny’s surgery day. He spent the night after amputation and Sarah was able to bring Sunny boy back home today. Life is going to be very different for Sarah and Sunny over the next few weeks/months but I don’t know of two stronger individuals to get through all of this.
Im setting up this Go Fund Me to help Sarah and my fur nephew Sunny with Vet Bills, future chemo treatment & any of the life adjustments Sarah will need to overcome with Sunny going forward. I’m sure right now ANY LITTLE BIT would go a long way for them.
Sunny is the strongest, most beautiful Golden I’ve ever had the pleasure of being an Aunt to! He will get through all of this like the trooper he is, and be the most adorable Tripawd anyone has EVER seen!
