I need a way to speak to my Mummy and daddy. See I have cerebral palsy and communication is impossible, my brave mother took me to be assessed by some very clever people and an Igazer can help me communicate.
Stephen Hawking uses a similar system to help him talk, however it’s very expensive and there’s no funding through the NHS.
My mummy says I was born very early at only 25 weeks, along with my twin, Ben weighing only 1lb 15oz, we both had to spend a lot of time in the hospital, have numerous operations before we could go home to our mum and dad. At 2 mum noticed I wasn’t meeting my milestones, unable to sit up, crawl, or speak, I had to go back to the hospital and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, this broke mummy’s heart but she was determined this wouldn’t stop me having a good life. One night after bedtime my daddy came to check on me and Ben, he found me lifeless and I was rushed into hospital, they found that the milk I was drinking was going into my lungs meaning I had to spend more time in the hospital and have more operations.
3 years later after all the heartache, worry and operations, in and out of hospital and visits to doctors, I had a massive seizure at school. I was rushed back into hospital and also diagnosed with epilepsy. With medication, my wonderful family and a great medical team around me I’ve been healthy since, but I’ve always wanted to communicate with my family.
I need help to raise to raise £2000 to buy this equipment, the cost is high but will change my life forever, so if you can give a little or donate I will be forever grateful.
