Liam's Fight Against Leukaemia
This is Liam. Cricket player, avid space pilot, chess fiend, keen classmate, great friend, all round terrific kid.
In early November, Liam was diagnosed with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. He was transferred to Brisbane (2 hours away) and began intensive chemotherapy the very next day at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital. The treatment plan is lengthy and tough. Liam and his Mum will have to stay in Brisbane for months at a time, and make frequent trips back to Brisbane even when he is able to go home to Toowoomba. Liam’s Dad and his sister and brothers visit when they are able to on the weekends. Liam will be isolated for stretches of time because his immune system will be so depleted from the treatment.
Unfortunately, the cost of an ill child is significant. Liam’s mum has had to quit her job to become Liam’s full time carer. As well as losing an income, the prescriptions, travel, bills, hospital parking and other costs add unneeded financial strain.
We have set up this Go Fund Me account to help support Liam and his family with the ongoing financial costs.
Every little bit helps and we thank you so much for your kind donation.

Thank you all for your incredible support. It is sincerely appreciated.
Liam started the second phase of his treatment two weeks ago. Unfortunately, it has been quite rough on Liam, and he's spent most of that time in hospital with various complications and side effects.
We are out now for a few days, and hope to enjoy some family time at our accommodation in Brisbane while Liam is able. The next few months will be a hard slog for him, so we will make the most of these moments.
Happy New Year to you all.
With love,
Team Liam.
