LHS Weight Room Renovation

For the past 25 years our weight room has been the standard by which other programs are measured. Unfortunately, safety concerns and advances in weight training have forced us to reevaluate how we are using our current space. Many pieces of equipment were purchased in the 70's and 80's with the most recent equipment bought in 1993. It is time to extensively renovate our facilities in order to maintain the level of excellence that is expected at Lynden High School.  

The weight room was a passion of our late coach Curt Kramme. This project is a great way to honor his legacy as well as maintain the excellence we've grown accustomed to at Lynden. The continued success of Lynden Athletics depends on your support today! GO LIONS!!

Project Facts:
- Over 400 LHS students train in the weight room annually.

- Upgrades will serve all  LHS students (all sports teams, male / female, beginner to collegiate prospects).  

-Our renovation includes new flooring, new paint, 8 Racks providing 16 stations allowing 48 students to complete individualized workouts simultaneously. It also includes: rowing machines, assault air bikes, frankenhyper machines, vertimax raptors, cable machines and dumbbells.

- Running the project through the Green & Gold Football Club and using donated labor has reduced the total cost of the project from nearly $400,000 to just $200,000.

- All donations are 100% tax deductible through Green & Gold Football Club.

- To date we have raised nearly $70,000  from corporate sponsorship's, and must reach the $100,000 mark by June 11 to place the order.
