With an aching heart and tears in my eyes I am writing this today.
Michele Catherine Broadley.. My best friend and LH Alum, is now an Angel in Heaven. Why she has become an Angel so young is God's will. But us here on Earth have free will; to make a difference and positively affect the lives of others.
Three years of different chemotherapy treatments, radiation & multiple surgeries.. Michele battled metastatic Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a pediatric cancer. In this time of carrying the burden of chemo, Michele continued her education with A's..... A's!! After her graduation from UConn with a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences Degree in Psychology she started pursuing her Masters in Psychology in Social Work at Southern. She wanted to help children and young adults battling cancer one day.
Today we can make a difference in Michele's name. Let's come together to give an opportunity to a young, intelligent girl a first year Scholarship to Lauralton Hall.
$19,685 is one year of tuition at Lauralton. I set the goal at $21,000 becacuse GoFundMe takes 5% of all donations.
Every penny counts! Lets come together to give joy where there is pain, hope where there is despair, and happiness where there is sadness. Michele's family will be happy to see a young girl attend LH in Michele's name.

Michele- I love you. I miss you every day. I still cannot believe this is reality. Not having you on Earth with me is so incredibly painful. Every time I feel like I can't go on I think of you in Heaven, smiling, with no sadness.
You were so beautiful, smart, funny, and kind. I thank God for bringing you into my life since first grade. I was not perfect friend, and I pray that you can forgive me for my faults. This is my tribute to you. Know that not a day goes by without you in my heart, my sister. Thank you for watching over me my Angel. God is taking care of you now.. I will see you soon.
