Hi Everyone,
So you know what's been happening...
In January I found out I have a blood clotting disorder and have massive clots in my legs and lungs with a major embolism. With an inability to walk.
A couple weeks later I was admitted to the hospital as the clots had formed to occupy both legs and my lungs, thus making me even less mobile.
In mid-January I was informed my CAT scan had found a large mass on my pancreas and have lesions all over my liver. This was of course as unexpected as everything else.
Subsequent scans and MRI have confirmed that the cancer is stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has metastasized. I have a liver biopsy and port being installed for chemo on the 21st. I'll be on Folfirinox for the chemo and hopefully immunotherapy to assist.
On early Tuesday AM, I had a large purple flash in my eyes and lost 1/3 on my vision on my upper right side. Went back to the hospital and I have had a petty significant stroke. My speech has stopped slurring, but I'm still 1/3 blind.
With this type and advancement of the cancer I've got about. 5% survival rate.
I am a mean one and if anyone can beat this down it is me. I haven't thrown in the towel yet!
I am unable to drive and with the chemo coming I expect I won't be doing much for a while.
This is not something I enjoy at all, but I need to ask for support to get me through the next few months. Since I no longer have Grandma's assisted living bills, I have managed to reduce my monthly expenses to about 3,000 per month. Without income and having used my saving on Grandma and moving to Maui. I am officially broke.
I was told about this as an alternative to taking out loans and incurring debt.
So, I you have any extra to help me out in this really lame time. I would be very grateful!
If anyone can beat this, I can and will make it up to everyone. It's time for me to lean on others for now.
