We Want to Help our Friend Jared

Jared Kugler is a friendly all-American guy who likes alternative rock, county music, pizza, hamburgers and steak. He is 30 years old, is the father of five children and a single dad to his son Jaryn. Jared is from South Carolina, grew up in Linton Indiana, and is now living in the Indianapolis area. He loves fly fishing, camping, kayaking, and reading about God.
After partial studies in coal mining engineering and then nursing, Jared decided to start his own construction company. In November of 2016, while working on a chimney, a piece of brick dust landed in his left eye and scratched his cornea. An infection resulted and in 5 days he lost his vision in that eye. It took 4 months before his ophthalmologist could stop the infection.
Several months ago Jared had a cornea transplant that was done to preserve his eye along with glaucoma surgery and reformation of his eye chamber that was damaged by the infection. It was known that the initial cornea transplant would not restore his sight. For that he will need another transplant and cataract surgery afterwards.
Dr. Anthony Lombardo, MD, of Eye Surgeons of Indiana is the specialist — the only one in Indiana— who will proceed with the restorative cornea transplant. Jared needs $5000 before this can be done since his insurance is not accepted
All of these procedures to date have added up to close to $70,000 that he will have to pay off over time. He is working two jobs but is still in need of help for the initial payment money for his new transplant.
Jared hopes to get back to his construction business, read more books and enjoy his children without vision impairment after his surgery.
