Our sweet Aunt Patti and her loving Husband Arnold have had more than one devoted couple can handle.  Arnold was treated for melanoma cancer from 2006-2009, prayers, modern medicine and his determination helped him beat that horrible disease.   In March 2011 he fell from scaffolding, had 3 surgeries to repair his shattered arm, and still to this day he continues to live with the effect of a broken hip and sacrum, which has left him disabled and he was no longer able to do the career he loved as a plumber. In 2013, Patti had her knee replaced, and Patti’s stomach problems intensified which lead to surgery  to remove 12 bleeding ulcers, and to repair a hiatal hernia. In 2014, she once again went in for surgery to repair the reoccurring hernia wound problem due to the mesh. In December 2014, she had wound vac surgery due to the hernia wound would not heal. January 2015, Patti was terminated from her job due to missing work.  Patti and Arnold were no longer insured which stopped the insured part of home care coming to change the wound vac. March 2015, wound vac was removed and they  cashed in their 401k and drained their saving to pay for 3 months of home care with no insurance. In July 2015,  Patti had emergency surgery for a ruptured abscess that was positive for Staph infection and drains were inserted. October 2016, Patti had major surgery for abdominal wall rebuild and required ICU care.  May 2017, Patti’s hernia ruptured once more and it required staples to her ribs with Mesh. July 2017, Allan Poll, their oldest son passed away unexpectedly. October 2017, Patti had another surgery to repair her hernia. July 2, 2018, repair for internal injuries from wound vac and mesh tears, July 11, 2018,  dispatched  ambulance, due to fever of 105* and extreme pain, due to pneumonia and a sepsis infection, hospitalized.. Finally in May 2019, she was released for physical therapy.  July 13, 2019, Patti visited the ER due to severe abdominal pain, the Hiatal Hernia has returned, 3 bleeding Ulcers, a large mass by her esophagus needs to be removed, but only after she has her Gall Bladder out (scheduled July 22, 2019.

During all of the health problems, Patti and Arnold have have lost siblings, family members and friends. they were they first ones to offer help, love and support. Patti and Arnold have sold land, cars, and other keepsakes just to pay doctor bills and living expenses. They have never asked for help.

Its our turn as FAMILY, FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, and other loved ones to offer our support, love, and prayers for Patti and Arnold.

As a proud member of the Chapman family, I am asking because I know what family is about. We were brought up to love and help one another unconditionally.
