Kilimanjaro Refugee Relief

Hi All!

On September 3 I will be climbing Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, to raise money for World Jewish Relief in support of refugees.

According to the United Nations, we are witnessing the highest levels of human displacement on record. Wars, climate change, economic hardships, and human rights violations force 24 people to leave their homes in search of safety every minute.

As a European Jew, I have a strong connection to this cause. Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries my family fled parts of Eastern Europe in order to escape anti-Semitic dictatorships, and those that did not make it out sadly perished in the holocaust.

The World Jewish Relief (WJR) is the British Jewish community's international humanitarian agency. Having saved over 65,000 people from Hitler's Germany, they now work tirelessly to help both Jews and non-Jews accross the world facing similarly devastating circumstances.

Last year, the WJR helped 43,000 young, old and vulnerable people in 19 different countries find employment, gain access to food and medicine, and secure refuge. Your donations will further these efforts, break the cycle of poverty, and radically transform the lives of so many people.

Thank you for your support, and please keep an eye out for some embarrassing updates on my progress!
