Let's Save Hurricane Harvey Pets!

Donation protected
I have spent the past two weeks dispatching calls for first Hurricane Harvey and now Hurricane Irma rescues ( both for people and animals ). It has been both a heartwrenching and life changing experience. And now lots of these pets are in danger again.

They are reaching the end of their owner holds. Strays, animals who's owners didn't make it, pets who's people are displaced and have no where to put them are all going to be coming up for adoption and euthanasia. These are animals that the rescuers who were boots on the ground risked their health and even their lives to save. They waded through waters that they knew contained e.coli and MRSA bacterium to rescue them. The fight is not over.

Here is my plan. On Sunday the 24th, I am flying to Houston, TX. There are still a few rescues that need to be done and those are my first stop ( we have three puppies that have been in the side of the road for over two weeks!). Then, I am going to the high kill animal shelters to help facilitate adoptions of these pets back up in MA, RI, and CT. I am going to set up vet care for them, as well as any required boarding for quarantine, and finally transport back home.

This entire process is daunting to say the least! I have never done anything like this and the costs of doing any of this are not something that I can undertake alone. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. The more help that I get, the more that I can save.
