Lets Open A Mini Hip Hop Museum!

"Hip Hop started out in the park " ..as an art form. It grew into a way of life. Do you remember the feeling the first time you heard hip hop exprsssed through the medium of music? When did said music first move your soul? When did your body follow that movement and transform into whatever dance that infiltrated society at that time. How did you feel when you saw cold and vacant train cars turn into a canvas livened by vibrant designs and tangible imaginative manifestations stemming from a spray can. We have to protect the history of this way of life. It needs to be heralded as a driving force of culture all over the world. We need to celebrate an expression of freedom that we love. We're also protecting it from revisionist history. We need funding to do this. We want to have the culmination of this art, freedom, mindstate, social commentary, and feeling called hip hop [all in one] space... One day.

But for now, we'll start small with an exclusive "mini museum" showcasing when, where, why & how this way of life came to be. Most people just listen to the music but why not have a space where you can learn, live, create and experience HIP-HOP? This will benefit those who are in love with the artform and those who want to learn more about it, without doing tons of research on a computer or mobile device. All donations will be used to secure a space for this venture, get materials and decorative items, vinyls, CDs, cassettes, books, magazines etc. We want to create a unique experience that cannot be found anywhere else. We also hope to have hip-hop themed art showcases, sip n paints, music production classes, trivia nights & more! Our funding goal is set for October and we would really appreciate all the help we can get. Even if you cannot donate money, we hope that you share this with those who you think would be interested. Our plan is to open this facility to the public before 2018, even if it isn't 100% completed. 'You only live once'

*Everyone involved in this project is a young black entreprenuer under the age of 35. We respect and love the culture and want to bring this to life because it is necessary
