Let’s Help Susan Give the Gift of Life

Here’s a feel good story for you.
Lisa is a Travel Agent with CAA Manitoba in Winnipeg, and she is currently on dialysis and is in need of a new kidney. Back in July 2018, with Lisa’s permission, we put word out via social media and my monthly newsletter to over 4,000 travel agents in Western Canada in hopes that someone with a compatible blood type would be willing to make the ultimate gift…a new kidney for Lisa.
Well, a miracle happened and a hero came forward.
Susan is a retired Travel Agent in BC, and she made the decision to start the testing process to see if she could be a potential living donor for Lisa. By the way, Susan has NEVER met Lisa. Can you imagine what an amazing thing this is to do? She is a true hero.
After a year of testing, everything is a go and the kidney transplant is scheduled in a few weeks in Winnipeg. How amazing is that??
That’s where you come in. Susan will need to plan for about 8 weeks off work for the surgery and recovery time. She will have to take time off babysitting her granddaughter and she will not have income coming in during those 8 weeks. Susan needs about $3,000 to cover her living expenses for those 2 months. This is something I think we can handle, right?
How amazing would it be for us to raise the $3,000 so Susan doesn’t need to worry about the financial burden and she can concentrate on the amazing gift she is giving Lisa.
