Lets help Jimmy Craig and his family

Dear Friends & Family,

As many of you may know Jimmy Craig has had quite a battle with his health. It all started at the end of September 2018, Jimmy was stung by a wasp and developed side effects that led him to believe he had an allergic reaction. After a few doctor visits he was diagnosed with Valley Fever.

With this diagnosis, he was suffering from symptoms such as a sore throat, rashes on various parts of his body, and difficulty breathing and speaking. In the following months he went to various specialty doctors multiple times a week in Phoenix and Tucson. These doctors performed tests and procedures and diagnosed him with an autoimmune disease, but could not confirm which disease it was.

During this time he was still going to work even though he was not feeling well. He stopped working in November and was able to take FMLA, but in February he was released because they could not hold his position any longer.
In March an abscess was discovered in his throat and was said to be the cause of his sore throat. He spent 3 weeks at the Mayo Clinic to have the abscess removed and to recover.
At this time is when doctors diagnosed him with a very rare autoimmune disease: MDA5 - Dermatomyositis with Interstitial Lung Disease.

When he was released from the hospital he began taking various immunosuppressant medications to fight his disease.
He had been out of the hospital for 6 weeks when Mindy started noticing he wasn't feeling well again with symptoms such as a fever, cough, pain on his sides, and difficulty breathing.
On May 21, 2019 he went back to the Mayo Clinic where they discovered the abscess in his throat had returned and was bigger. In this time his cough and breathing were becoming worse and he ended up contracting infectious pneumonia.
On June 8th he was moved to ICU for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).

At this point he had no energy and could no longer breathe without assistance.

So on June 9th, he was intubated and put into a medically induced coma.

This is how he has remained since, with no improvement to his lungs. Doctors have done everything possible to help him and are becoming pessimistic. At this point it is in God's hands.

Mindy has been by Jimmy's side night and day to make sure he receives the best care possible.
With this, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with the cost of daily life, household bills, and eventually the medical bills.

We ask that you consider making a donation to assist with these financial hardships.

We also ask that you SHARE this with your family and friends.

And THANK YOU to everyone who continues to reach out, has helped in various ways, and to everyone who continues to visit Jimmy
