Let's help Dan get his bar back

Hi, I'm John Dreznes a business neighbor and good friend of Dan Cullinan. Dan's business, Cullinan's Stadium Club, is behind on taxes and in need of upgrades.
The past few years have been tough for him. A modest place to enjoy a drink with friends has been what the Stadium Club has been all about since 1989. You probably won't find your favorite micro-brew on tap or even a beer menu for that matter. Only an open seat and friendly faces.
I know this is an unusual request since Dan isn't dying or in desperate need. He does, however, need our help. This past year Dan has even had to take another job to offset his bar expenses
His modest bar at 11610 S Western in Morgan Park has hosted more charity events than any of us could ever count. We have all had a great time hanging out here over the years. Hey, he even runs a two-for-one special on cheeseburgers twice a week for the past 20 years. That's a lot of free cheeseburgers!
His bar now sits closed by the State of Illinois for back taxes. They couldn't have closed him down t a worse time. Christmas season is when he would make the most money. But instead, his bar sits closed and we sit broken hearted.
Again, Dan hasn't asked us for help, I don't even know how much he needs to get on his feet again but If we can raise enough money for Dan to pay off his taxes and do a few needed upgrades to his bar I know he would be eternally grateful.
As his business neighbor at Beverly Records, we totally understand how hard it is to run a small business, we celebrate the good times and count on each other through the bad times. This is a bad time for him and we would hate to lose a good neighbor in Dan.
So in the spirit of Christmas, what would Jake and Elwood do? Let's all pay Dan Cullinan for that second cheeseburger and get him back on his feet, so we can raise our macro-brew in a bottle once again at 116th and Western.
