Mom (Josie) says it all below- please help with anything you can spare, even if it’s just a prayer for this sweet loving little family just starting out and facing staggering unknown medical bills and trying to stay afloat with their regular bills —-so mom and dad can be with him until he goes back home! ❤️

What is wrong with my baby? Why did he have not one but FOUR seizures? Why won’t he eat?
Today, he has to be put under anesthesia again to have a test done that puts a tube inside to test his acid levels while eating.

Swallow test for acid got pushed to tomorrow. He still hasn’t eaten.
For those asking for updates, I’m going to write a post explaining everything that happened in hopes that you can include details in your prayers for our sweet baby. Long post ahead.
On Thursday, I was at home, laying in bed, holding Rowan when I noticed he was staring blankly into space, it seemed. He was looking at me but just wasn’t there and I realized he wasn’t breathing. I picked him up, patted him, blew his face, flicked his lips, yelled his name over and over and his face turned white and his lips turned blue. His hands and face were twitching which that lasted for 45 seconds or so and he finally took a breath. That happened 3 times at home and once in the ER on the scale while he was being weighed. While there, they tried getting an IV going on him and failed SIX TIMES. He was so tired and hungry and just wanted to sleep. The doctor came in and told us we needed to be transferred to Children’s Hospital by ambulance and that they’ll get the IV in and they can push the fluids on the ride there. I rode with them and Andy followed us. They tried hooking up the IV and it also was a dud so he didn’t get any fluids nor could he be given any meds intravenously. We got to the ER at Children’s and sat there for 5 hours (on top of the 3 that we were at the other hospital) while he cried the whole time. Everytime I could get him calmed down, someone else would come in and mess with him. It was so hard on all of us. He had a CT, ultrasound, a successful IV, catheter for sampling, spinal tap and so many pokes for bloodwork. He just screamed from being so hungry and overtired so they ended up giving him a few doses of fentanyl that helped him sleep. We finally got admitted at 11:30 or so and then he had to be hooked up to an EEG to monitor seizures overnight. I finally got him to nurse a little at around 3am and then he ate small amounts from 5am to noon on Friday. We had to cut off his feedings at that point because he needed to be put under anesthesia (hardest consent form I’ve ever had to sign) for an MRI. After he woke up from his MRI at around 6pm, he was screaming so hard because he was starving. We tried nursing and he wouldn’t stay latched. We tried bottle feeding and he wouldn’t take it. He gets so excited to nurse or take the bottle but takes one gulp and cries. Something is really hurting him. So he now hasn’t eaten since noon yesterday. all tests have come back negative or normal (as seizure tests often do) which sounds great but then what is wrong with my baby?
