You might have grown up with him, played footy, rugby or cricket with him, gone to boarding school with him or had only just met him.
Chances are, no matter how well you know Liam, he has brought happiness into your life in a way that only someone with equal amounts of warmth, humour and wit, simultaneously, can.
Liam is the type of person who will do anything for anyone, the type of person the world benefits from having around. He's a reliable bloke, a considerate one. The person you'd call up to help you out with whatever you needed.
But right now, Liam needs you.
On 25th January 2017, Liam Longbottom defied the odds.
He escaped a serious crash near Grenfell in country NSW, after falling asleep at the wheel on his way to work in Young, and smashing head on into a tree on the other side of the highway.
It's a magical thing to be able to say Liam not only survived, but avoided head injuries that could have left him in a way where none of us would have ever properly known him again.
The normally fit and healthy Liam is now dealing with a broken femur, a broken wrist, a fractured knee, 50 staples in his leg and stitches in his head and wrist.
Not to mention the mental trauma that comes with being involved in an incident like this, and the financial burden that involves ongoing physiotheraphy and rehabilitation fees, helicopter transfer, ambulance fees, towing fees, loan repayments for his van, and living expenses while he is unable to work for the next three to four months.
To our friends in Forbes, Sydney, Port Macquarie, the Gold Coast and everywhere in between, your assistance in this difficult time would be greatly appreciated.
