Let’s get Jen back on the mats!!

Anyone who knows Jenifer Hordinski, knows that she is not only one of the most powerful women you know, but also pure light. Jenifer is an inspiration to her children, her family, her students, and her friends. Actually, that’s an understatement. Jenifer moves mountains. Your mountains, and mine. She is known for overcoming every obstacle put before her. While we are all confident she can overcome this also, in order to give her the best chance, her family needs our help financially...

In late November, Jenifer tore her ACL. Up to this point, she has endured multiple surgeries and spent countless hours trying to recover. During one of her manipulations to try to get her knee just to bend again, Jenifer’s patellar tendon snapped. Literally, snapped. In half. Her surgeons failed to communicate with one another that during her initial injury, she also had damage to her patellar tendon. By the time they found out, it was too late. So, she underwent more surgery. And more recovery. Jenifer is still trying to recover, and still has not gained the ability to walk normally. It has been nearly 9 months of constant therapy, surgery, and every single treatment you could ever imagine, in an attempt to gain the ability to function normally. (for details check out Jen's Blog )

Despite these setbacks, Jenifer has still found the energy and willpower to make it to Caden’s and Cotes’s school functions, swim meets, dance classes, games, tournaments, and belt promotions. She is still teaching classes, training how and when she can, and is a present force at Katharo. However, this is NO way to live. She needs to have the opportunity to fully recover, and be able to live life as she was truly meant to live.

After multiple doctors and surgeons trying to fix her leg, Jenifer has finally found a surgeon who holds promise; one of the best in the country. However, he is out-of-network, and therefore, the cost of surgery is out-of-pocket. We need to come together to help her in this journey. Please donate whatever amount you can, in an effort to see her walk normally, live normally, and be there for all of us, as we remember her. As a powerful, positive, capable force.
